Irish Coffee

Remember that great Irish coffee starts with excellent brewed coffee.

Ingredients

1 teaspoon packed dark brown sugar
1 1/2 ounces good Irish whiskey
1 cup freshly brewed coffee
2 tablespoons heavy cream

Preparation

  1. Step 1

    Stir together the brown sugar, whiskey, and coffee in a large mug.

    Step 2

    Float the heavy cream on top by pouring it first into a spoon and then gently tilting the spoon so that the cream flows into the mug. Serve immediately.
